DEPARTMENT FOR INTERNATIONAL TRADE (UK) is launching UK-Southeast Asia Fintech Series aimed at UK fintech companies, focused on the following themes:
- Sustainability – including environmental (e.g. green solutions)
- Social (e.g. financial inclusion)
- Governance (e.g. regulatory technology)
The series will highlight emerging opportunities in Southeast Asia and help UK fintech companies build a network as they look to expand in the fast-growing markets of Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam.
The selected UK fintech companies will benefit from:
- Deep-dives into the evolving landscape in key Southeast Asian Markets
- Virtual roundtables for each market to connect with the Southeast Asia fintech ecosystem (regulators, corporates and innovators)
- A series of one-day events held in each market over the next year (as travel routes reopen) to meet regulators, potential partners, and develop in-market opportunities
Regional and local promotion through marketing/comms linked to the programme

Involved companies should aim to participate in the entire programme. Events and webinars will be offered free of charge by the UK Government, in partnership with SE Asian Governments, associations and other partners.
